The only crossroads on Iona is one of the places where the pilgrims stop for a brief reflection |
Another stop where Malcolm, the warden of the Iona Community at the Abbey addresses the pilgrims |
There were roughly 80 pilgrims at the start but some took an easier route which avoided bogs and scrambles |
The pilgrims got quite spread out at times |
We made our way down to the marble quarry - Iona marble is in the font and altar in the Abbey church |
Waste rock at the harbour for the quarry |
